Going on an adventure to Japan alone? Of course. A 10-day round trip through a country with so much to discover. Not only the proud history, but also the rich traditions can be felt everywhere. The restraint and politeness of the Japanese, their orderliness, well-considered procedures and remarkable cleanliness are very impressive. Of course, toilets with integrated heating, background music and some “washing options” are also exciting.

On my tour from Tokyo to Nagano, Kanazawa, Kyoto to Hiroshima, I covered many kilometers on foot and by Shinkansen, visited numerous temples, enjoyed delicious food and experienced Japan's hospitality. What a country. I'll be back soon.
